I'm back in Norway and I'm so happy that I finally can share these pictures of Marius and me in Dubai with you.I had to wait until Marius got to meet his family because none of them besides his little sister knew that he was coming home. How hilarious isn't that?! I wish I could have seen the look on their faces when they fist saw him! He dressed up as Santa Claus and everything so I bet they were totally shocked!

We started our trip back home on Saturday night Australia time and arrived here in Norway around noon (Norway time). On our way here we made a quick stop in Dubai and slept there over night and it was amazing to see the city for the first time, even though I can't say that I fell in love with it right away. I mean, the beach was nothing compared to the beaches back home in Australia! But the Mall of Dubai was amazing and I even got to buy myself some luxury treats from Victoria's Secret, so I'm not complaining! We really wanted to take a trip to the top of Burj Khalifa as well, but it was really expensive so we saved the money and spent them on a hotel room instead. We were both carrying around heavy backpacks all day so my back was unbelievablesore when we got back to the airport. Getting a hotel room is definitivelyone of the best decisions I have ever made! I slept so good and I felt rested and ready to catch another flight when we woke up. It was a long trip from Australia all the way back to Norway, but I had a really good time with Marius so it went pretty fast. I also slept a lot which always helps!

I have to say that it's good to be back in Norway even though it's just a "little bit" colder here! I traveled in a thick sweater and sweatpants, so I survived the cold from the airport to the car. Marius on the other hand didn't come so prepared! He was dressed in a t-shirt, shorts and thongs.. Luckily cars these days heat up pretty quickly! I can't believe that it's been 10 months since last time I was home. It does certainly not feel like it has been almost a year since I saw my family. I guess the time really flies!

Today I have been workingat the school my mom and brother work at as well. We have been spending a lot of time outside in the cold so it was so good to get back home and install myself in front of the fireplace! It was around minus ten degrees today which is about 40/45 degrees difference from Australia, so you might understand that I was freezing all the time - even if I was inside! Hopefully I will adapt to this weather quickly, and if I don't - I will only have to survive for about a month before we fly back to the heat.
